THE EMAIL GROWTH SHOW EPISODE 175
What if I told you that every single email you send could be working harder for you – quietly, consistently, and without you needing to create more content, post more on Instagram, or do another awkward Reel?
No dancing.
No pointing.
No paid ads.
Just one tiny tweak at the bottom of your emails.
Enter: the super signature.
This is one of those strategies that feels almost too simple – which is exactly why most business owners overlook it. And yet… it’s one of the easiest ways to turn everyday emails into f*cking lead-generating assets.
Let’s break it down.
Kylie Kelly [00:00:00]:
It makes so much difference, and this one tiny tweak can turn everyday emails into fucking lead-generating assets without any extra effort.
Kylie Kelly [00:00:13]:
Are you a female business owner frustrated with battling the algorithm and looking for growth strategies that don’t involve awkwardly pointing or dancing online or throwing cash at paid ads? Welcome to the Email Growth Show. I’m your host, Kylie Kelly, visibility and email marketing strategist. I grew my email list from zero to almost 10,000 subscribers subscribers in less than 2 years, and the same is.
Kylie Kelly [00:00:34]:
Possible for you too. Are you ready to build your email.
Kylie Kelly [00:00:37]:
List and start making more money in your online business? Let’s head into today’s episode.
Kylie Kelly [00:00:45]:
Hey, hey, welcome back to the Email Growth Show, episode 175. Now, what if I told you that every email that you send could be working harder for you without being spammy, overly promotional, or annoying the shit out of your audience. The secret? The super signature. Now, this simple yet powerful tool is the easiest way to turn your emails into ongoing opportunities for engagement, growth, and sales. Whether you’re sending an email through your ESP like iDoinkit or ActiveCampaign or Flodesk, or just replying to someone in your Gmail inbox, your super signature can create a subtle but strategic path for your audience to take the next step with you. In today’s episode, I’m going to break down what a super signature is, why it matters, and exactly how to craft one that converts. Let’s dive on in. So first, what is a super signature? Now, a super signature is the section at the bottom of your email, sometimes in the PS or even as like a footer, that offers additional ways for your readers to engage with you.
Kylie Kelly [00:01:50]:
But here’s the key. It’s not a pushy sales pitch. Instead, a great super signature is a low-pressure, high-value way to invite your audience to take the next step. Whether that’s grabbing a freebie, checking out your membership like mine does, or listening to a related podcast episode. Think of it like the sign-off at the end of a helpful conversation. You’re literally saying, hey, if you want more of this, here are a few ways to keep going. So here’s an example of what my super signature might look like. P.S.
Kylie Kelly [00:02:19]:
Whenever you’re ready, here are 3 ways I can help you grow your email list. 1. Grab my free guide, Your Next 1,000 Subscribers, here. And it’s linked. Number 2, join my membership, the Email Growth Club. Number 3, listen to this episode on the Email Growth Show that talks all about why your email list is so dang important. You can see there in my super signature, I have literally rolled out the red carpet for my free guide to get them on my email list, my membership, the Email Growth Club, if they’re ready to dive on in and be a member, or this podcast so that I can nurture them and build that relationship with them. So all of that in literally 4 sentences.
Kylie Kelly [00:02:57]:
Now, I’ll include this example in the show notes, so if you want to actually see it, if you’re a bit more visual, that will help you see exactly what we’re talking about. Now, the question that I get most often is, should I use this in every single email? The answer is no, not necessarily, but here’s when it’s a great idea. In your regular nurture emails, so the weekly emails that you’re sending out to your list, it’s going to keep your offers visible without overwhelming your audience. And then Gmail and personal emails. Oh my God, the amount of signups I’ve gotten from personal emails that I’ve hit send in my Gmail and they see that call to action in my super signature and come and grab my free resource, or they come over and join the club, is crazy. So even these one-on-one email conversations, a subtle super signature can provide so many great next steps. But there are times when you might not want to use a super signature. Things like transactional emails, so order confirmations, receipts, support emails.
Kylie Kelly [00:03:53]:
I mean,, you know, we’ve got to keep those ones focused, right? We don’t want them getting distracted. Or if they’re highly personal emails, you’re not going to use a super signature when you’re emailing your mum. I mean, you might, but I probably wouldn’t. And lastly, if you’re in a really heavy launch period and you are selling one specific offer, you might want to keep those super signatures off so that your calls to action about that offer don’t get lost. We want to make sure that when we are sending 3 emails on the cart close day, those 3 emails are just about that one main offer that you were selling. So I would be keeping the super signature off those emails when you are in a really intentional launch period. So how do you craft a high-converting super signature? Like what makes a great one? So here’s the formula that I use. I make sure that there is a clear call to action.
Kylie Kelly [00:04:40]:
For example, whenever you’re ready, here’s how I can help you. A very clear call to action sentence at the start. Then you’re going to have your links to key resources. So free lead magnets, uh, paid offers, memberships, courses, digital products. Or even high-value content like the podcast, a blog post, your YouTube channel. And then you wanna keep it simple at the end. I don’t want you to have any more than 2 to 3 links. You don’t want to confuse them, but you wanna give them options, right? So again, an example, ready to grow your list? Here are 3 ways I can help you.
Kylie Kelly [00:05:11]:
Super clear call to action. 1, get my free email templates to boost your engagement. 2, join my membership, the Email Growth Club, and get live coaching. 3, listen to this week’s podcast episode, The Email Growth Show. Super simple, but super intentional. And then don’t forget your Gmail. One thing I see a lot of business owners forget is their personal or Gmail emails. If you are responding to a potential client, if you’re networking, or even just emailing someone you met at a conference, a super signature in your regular email footer can be a game changer.
Kylie Kelly [00:05:44]:
So instead of just signing off with, Kylee, imagine if your email ended with, PS, I’d love to stay connected. Here’s how. Check out my free guide on email growth. Listen to my podcast for marketing tips. Join my membership for hands-on email support. You get the idea. It makes so much difference, and this one tiny tweak can turn everyday emails into fucking lead-generating assets without any extra effort. You’ll be surprised how many emails you send from your personal Gmail account that turn into new clients, that turn into new leads that will be added to your email list.
Kylie Kelly [00:06:17]:
So do not forget your Gmail. All right, my friend, now it’s time to take action. Here’s what I want you to do. Number 1, go to your email service provider and add a simple super signature to your next email. Follow that formula. If you need to rewind the episode or look in the show notes, if you want a visual representation of what that could look like, but add it now to your next email. Number 2, check your Gmail or personal email settings and add a subtle super signature to your footer. If you want an example, email me at hello@kyliekelly.com, and when I reply to you, you’ll see my own super signature that you can use as inspiration.
Kylie Kelly [00:06:53]:
And number 3, if you’re inside the Email Growth Club, make sure you check out the mini training on this I did last month because there are lots of visual examples, things that you can take inspiration from to make this super, super easy, and there’s even templates for you. A well-placed super signature is one of the easiest ways to make your emails work harder for you. It’s often overlooked, but it’s such a simple, strategic, and totally non-salesy way to get your offers in front of your dream clients, right? In front of your email list, in front of the people that are ending up in your inbox. Please take action on this and you’re gonna see massive results. Now, if you loved this episode, please share it with a biz bestie who needs to hear it. And if you wanna dive deeper into email marketing strategies, come and join my membership, the Email Growth Club. The link is in the show notes below. Okay.
Kylie Kelly [00:07:41]:
I will see you next week. Until then, keep showing up, keep growing, and keep making those emails work for you. Bye for now. Thank you so much for tuning into.

A super signature is the section at the bottom of your emails.
Sometimes in the PS, sometimes as a footer – that gives your reader clear, low-pressure next steps.
Not a pushy sales pitch.
Not a “BUY NOW OR ELSE” moment.
Think of it like the end of a helpful conversation.
You’re saying:
“Hey, if you want more of this… here’s where to go next.”
That’s it.
And the magic?
It works whether you’re sending:
Yep. Even your personal inbox can be doing some heavy lifting for your business.
Most people want to know how to work with you.
They just don’t want to be yelled at.
A super signature keeps your offers visible without hijacking the email itself. It meets your reader where they’re at – whether they’re ready to binge, buy, or just snoop around your world.
It’s subtle.
It’s strategic.
And it compounds over time.
I’ve had people join my email list, grab freebies, and even join my membership from emails that weren’t selling anything at all.
Just… replying to a message.
With a smart super signature in place.
Here’s a real example of mine:
P.S. Whenever you’re ready, here are 3 ways I can help you grow your email list:
1️⃣ Grab my free guide: Your Next 1,000 Subscribers
2️⃣ Join my membership: The Email Growth Club
3️⃣ Listen to a related episode of The Email Growth Show
That’s it.
Four sentences.
Three links.
Clear paths forward.
I’m not forcing a decision – I’m opening doors.
Short answer: no.
Long answer: use it intentionally.
Clarity always wins.
Steal this.
Something simple like:
This could be:
Two to three links max.
More options = more confusion.
And confusion kills clicks.
If you only take one thing from this post, let it be this:
Your personal inbox is prime real estate.
Every reply.
Every follow-up.
Every “great to meet you!” email.
Instead of signing off with just your name…
Imagine ending with:
P.S. I’d love to stay connected – here’s how:
→ Free email growth guide
→ Podcast for visibility tips
→ Membership for hands-on support
That one tweak has brought me so many new subscribers and clients – without trying to sell a damn thing.
Don’t overthink it.
1️⃣ Add a simple super signature to your next email in your ESP
2️⃣ Update your Gmail signature with a subtle version
3️⃣ If you want inspo, email me at hello@kyliekelly.com and check out mine when I reply
That’s it.
No funnel rebuild.
No content calendar.
No algorithm stress.
Just smarter emails.
A well-placed super signature is one of the most underrated email growth strategies out there.
It’s non-salesy.
It’s easy to implement.
And it works quietly in the background – every single day.
Your emails are already being opened.
You may as well let them do more for you.
