THE EMAIL GROWTH SHOW EPISODE 205
Hey hey – welcome back to The Email Growth Show! I’m Kylie Kelly, your visibility coach, email marketing strategist, and biz bestie who’s here to help you grow an aligned, sustainable business… without burning the f*ck out.
And today?
We’re going behind the scenes of my Q3 plan.
I’m walking you through exactly:
Because here’s the thing:
Just because something is a good idea… doesn’t mean it belongs in this quarter.
Just because you’re capable of more… doesn’t mean you have to do more.
If you’ve ever looked at a blank calendar and thought “WTF do I focus on next?” – you’re going to want to hit play on this one!
TL:DR
What you’ll learn in this episode:
– Why 90-day planning actually works (even for multi-passionate biz owners)
– What I’m prioritising this quarter: list growth, soft selling, repurposed content, and mastermind prep
– What I’m saying no to: live launches, IG hustle, and shiny new offers
– How to map your own Q3 based on your goals, energy, and season of life

Meet my AI biz bestie: Strategic Planner Sally!
She’s part COO, part coach, part “Kylie, don’t overcommit again” energy.
She helps me zoom out and plan every quarter with clarity, based on my visibility, offers, content rhythm, and energy.
Here’s why 90-day planning works so well:
→ It’s long enough to build momentum: to grow your list, test a funnel, or run a campaign… but short enough to stay agile.
→ It fits my Manifesting Generator energy: I move fast, I get excited, and I change my mind. So locking in a whole year? Nope.
→ Q3 is a recalibration season: After a big season with Inside The Inbox and my 40th birthday, I’m slowing things down and stacking what already works.
This quarter is all about conversion, consolidation, and clarity, not hustle, not chaos.
Here’s what’s getting my full energy over the next 90 days:
1. List growth with integrity
No paid ads, no reels, no hamster wheel.
I’m keeping it simple and strategic:
2. Selling The Email Growth Club (softly but consistently)
No launch needed.
Just a steady drip of value + intentional invites:
3. Prepping for Headliner Mastermind launch (October)
4. Content with purpose
One podcast episode per week (on Fridays), then repurposed to:
5. Space for real life
I’ve got school holidays, a silent retreat, and October travel on the horizon – so I’m building in the white space now, not scrambling later.
I’m not taking my foot off the gas.
I’m just learning to drive smarter.
I planned this quarter to feel spacious, strategic, and seasonal, which means clearing out the clutter.
Here’s what I’m saying no to:
🚫 NO LIVE LAUNCHES
This quarter is about warming people up, not burning myself out.
Everything I’m doing, from the Lead Magnet Lovefest to the quiz funnel, is slow, strategic, and backend-driven.
🚫 NO POSTING JUST TO POST
Instagram? Still retired. 🙌
I’m showing up where it matters:
🚫 NO NEW OFFERS
Not even that tempting low-ticket idea I almost launched (don’t worry, I wrote it down for Q4 😂).
This quarter is about depth, not novelty.
I’m focused on the two core containers that actually move the needle:
If we were planning your quarter together (which – if you’re in my world, we probably are 😏), here’s where I’d have you start:
1. Pick ONE list-growth strategy
Guest interviews? A curated bundle? Freebie swaps?
Pick one. Do it well. That’s it.
2. Choose a nurture rhythm that works for you
Whatever it is – make it sustainable and consistent.
3. Map your revenue path
What’s already working?
What feels heavy?
What are you selling and where’s the ease?
Simplify your offer suite now so Q4 isn’t chaos.
4. Schedule your damn rest
Block off a 3-day weekend.
Take a Friday for CEO time.
Rest is strategy. Don’t forget that.
5. Anchor everything to your Q3 goal
Visibility?
Cash flow?
Ease?
Write it down.
Revisit it.
Align your plan to it.
If this episode gave you ideas, clarity, or just the permission slip you needed to slow down and do things smarter – I’d love to support you.

Let’s make Q3 your most intentional, aligned, and wildly sustainable quarter yet.
You’ve got this and I’ve got you. 💪
Kylie Kelly [00:00:00]:
So if you’re watching others spin up new things and feeling like maybe you should be doing more too, I really want to offer you this. Sometimes the most strategic move isn’t creating something new. It’s making what you already have even more powerful. For me, that’s what this quarter is all about.
Kylie Kelly [00:00:20]:
Are you a female business owner frustrated with battling the algorithm and looking for growth strategies that don’t involve awkwardly pointing or dancing online or throwing cash at paid ads? Welcome to the Email Growth Strategy Show. I’m your host, Kylie Kelly, visibility and email marketing strategist. I grew my email list from zero to almost 10,000 subscribers in less than two years.
Kylie Kelly [00:00:40]:
And the same is possible for you, too.
Kylie Kelly [00:00:43]:
Are you ready to build your email list and start making more money in your online business? Let’s head into today’s episode.
Kylie Kelly [00:00:51]:
Hey. Hey. Welcome back to the Email Growth Show. I’m Kylie Kelly, visibility coach, email marketing strategist, and your biz bestie who’s here to help you grow an aligned, sustainable business with without burning the fuck out. And today, we’re going full behind the scenes. I’m walking you through exactly how I’m planning Q3 inside my business, what I’m prioritizing, what I’m saying no to, and how I’m making sure that the next 90 days support both my growth and my energy. Just because something is a good idea doesn’t mean it belongs in this quarter. And just because I’m capable of more doesn’t mean that I have to do more.
Kylie Kelly [00:01:28]:
So if you’ve ever looked at a blank calendar and thought, why the fuck do I focus on next? Or you’ve wondered how to get it all done and don’t kill yourself in the process, this episode is for you. Now, you’ve probably heard me talk about my AI biz bestie strategic planner Sally, the custom GPT that I created to help me zoom out and actually see my quarters before I try to fill it. She’s part coo, part coach, part Kylie don’t over commit again energy. And she helps me map out every 90 days with my visibility offers and content rhythm and most importantly, my energy levels in mind. Planning in 90 days is the perfect stretch. It’s long enough to build real momentum to run a campaign, test a new funnel, grow my list, make sales, but it’s also short enough to stay agile, to pivot if I need to breathe. Now, as a manifesting generator, this rhythm feels really good for me. I move fast, I get excited, I change my mind a lot.
Kylie Kelly [00:02:25]:
So instead of trying to lock in a whole year which never felt aligned anyway. I focus on this quarter and I build it in a way that reflects what I’ve already created, what’s light me up now, and what I want to lean into next. And this quarter Q3, it’s coming off the back of a big season I did Inside the Inbox Season 2 in May. My quiz funnel has just gone live and I’m intentionally slowing things down a little bit with a couple workshops, a quiet retention campaign for the Mastermind, and a fresh perspective after turning 40 last month. So here is how I’m treating Q3. It’s not a scale everything quarter. It’s not a launch heavy season, but I’m looking at it as a conversion and consolidation quarter. A quarter to support my people, to solidify what’s working and warm up for the next big move without burning myself out in the process.
Kylie Kelly [00:03:15]:
In short, I’m not creating anything from scratch. I’m stacking, I’m leveraging and I’m refining. So if you’re listening to this and thinking, ugh, I don’t even know what I’m doing next week, Kylie, let alone for the quarter, take this as your loving nudge to try it. Sit down, look at the next 90 days and ask yourself what? What am I already working towards? Where do I want to focus my visibility? What feels light and fun and what feels heavy? And what season of life am I in? How can I plan around that? Remember, you don’t have to plan the perfect quarter. You just need a plan that reflects the business and life you actually want. And if that feels hard to map out alone, you know where to find me. I’ve also included the link in the show notes to my custom GPT strategic planner Sally, so you can go and grab her for free and she will help you as well. Now let’s talk about what I’m prioritizing in Q3.
Kylie Kelly [00:04:06]:
So here are the big rocks for my Q3 that are going on in my world. So I’m focusing on list growth with integrity. Still no dancing, still no hamster wheel content, but I’m leaning into guest podcast interviews. I’ve got about five lined up. I’m leaning into a freebie swap series with some highly curated partners in Crime that I cannot wait to swap with. I’ve got an SEO refresh with a couple of the high performing blog posts and show notes that I want to give a little George and my new quiz has just gone live. So they are my list growth strategies that sounded like a lot but really, it’s just guest podcasting, a freebie swap, a little bit of SEO, and my new quiz lead magnet. My second focus is selling the email growth club softly but consistently.
Kylie Kelly [00:04:50]:
No big launch there, just a consistent drip of value and invitations. I want to start highlighting member wins better than I already do because they are having so many wins and making so much progress in that membership and I often forget to share about it. So I’m going to start highlighting member wins. I’m also creating two live workshops I want to do, one that is based around list growth and one that it’s based around nurture. When I put them out to my list, it will be what I call an option funnel. They’ll be able to either purchase the workshop by itself or join the membership to get the workshop for free. So they’re the two main ways that I’m mindfully going to be inviting people to come and join the membership. And then lastly, I’ll be preparing for my Headliner Mastermind launch in October.
Kylie Kelly [00:05:32]:
Now, I say launch lightly because the Mastermind is actually evergreen. It’s always open, it’s rolling, you can sign up at any time. But even with an evergreen offer, it’s really important to have periods where we have a focus on it, right? Where we’re actually intentionally selling it and inviting people inside. So that’s what’s going to happen in October. For Headliner, this means I need to finalize the positioning and the messaging and all of that beautiful copy that’s on the sales page and around that container. I’m also creating some case studies from the incredible women inside that again, have had some incredible wins. From securing TEDx stages and keynote speaking opportunities, to resigning from the their corporate job to go all in on their business, to scaling their team and hiring their first assistant. Some really, really exciting, exciting wins.
Kylie Kelly [00:06:17]:
So I’ll be creating some case studies with the ladies that are happy to do so. And I’m also obviously republishing those case studies here on the podcast as well. And then, as you guys probably know, I’ve gone back to just one podcast episode a week, which drops on Fridays. More intentional, more strategic. And then I repurpose that content to my email list and my blog post show notes that are optimized for SEO. So that will be continuing. I do every month of the year, rain, hail or shine. Right? So that’s really important to have something that is consistently going out.
Kylie Kelly [00:06:48]:
I’m also pitching a few women that I’ve collaborated with in the past for guest blog post swaps. Now this is something new that I’m trying and I’ve done it a couple of times now. And the whole goal with this is to have more and more reputable sites linking to mine so I can show Google that I am the real deal. Kind of a really fun, easy way to collaborate with somebody. So if you have a website, if you have a blog and it’s just your own content, think about maybe this strategy could work for you too. It’s very simple to get started. And other than that, I’ve got school holidays. I’m going to a silent retreat at the end of this month.
Kylie Kelly [00:07:22]:
So there’s a lot of travel coming up in October. So I’m intentionally building in space for rest and family time now in Q3 before things get full again, I’m not taking my foot off the gas, but I’m learning how to drive smarter. So let’s talk about what’s not on the calendar this quarter and why, what I’m choosing not to do. Because when I sat down with strategic planner Sally to map out Q3, I knew I wanted it to feel spacious, strategic and seasonal. This is a recalibration quarter for me. It’s not a sprint, not a try all the things season. It might be different for you, but for me it is not that. It’s all about staying rooted in what’s working and clearing the noise so that I can start Q4 feeling resourced, energized, focused and ready to fucking go.
Kylie Kelly [00:08:03]:
So here’s what I am intentionally not doing in Q3. I am not doing any live launches. So this is probably the biggest shift for me from the other quarters in the year. There’s no big public push. There’s no long email launch sequences, no open cart. Instead, everything that I’m doing from the lead magnet Love Fest in July that I’m hosting for members of the club to these workshops that I mentioned to the quiz, it’s all designed to warm up my audience, not hard pitch them. And why is that? Because I want to set the Runway for Q4 where I’m going to do that strategic headliner mastermind push and host the webinar to launch that right? So right now it’s all about visibility, nurture and backend conversions only. Slow burn, not flashy fireworks.
Kylie Kelly [00:08:47]:
I’ll still be making money. My business now runs pretty well on my reoccurring monthly revenue. So without doing any big pushes or any big launches, I have a pretty consistent income, which I am very, very grateful for. So this just means that any invitations that I make will be made personally, right? Be made through email, through one on one conversations. This still will be sales, but it’s just no big public push. And then obviously nothing else has changed in terms of how I show up. So I don’t post anywhere for the sake of it. My Instagram is still retired, my 9 grid is still up.
Kylie Kelly [00:09:22]:
And that’s plenty for me. I’m not creating anything just to be seen. I’m showing up where it matters, which for me is this podcast, my email list, those guest interviews. I think I’ve said yes to one or two bundles and obviously strategic visibility plays like my quiz and the workshops that I’m going to host. So the purpose of me sharing this with you is for you to think about how can you create depth over volume, which I think is something more of us need permission to do. You don’t need to be everywhere, you don’t need to say yes to everything. Instead pick one or two things and create depth, right? Show up really well there and really develop those relationships and you’ll be surprised at what can come from that. Another thing that I am not doing is no new offers.
Kylie Kelly [00:10:04]:
None. Not even a little low ticket thing I’ve been tempted to create. I have written it down for Q4, but for Q3 I’m holding my offers steady. Why? Because everything I’m doing is building towards two core containers. The email growth club where I support list growth, email strategy and visibility foundations. And of course the headliner mastermind where I help women become the go to name in their niche through aligned visibility offers and thought leadership. That’s it. Like I said, I’m choosing refinement over reinvention.
Kylie Kelly [00:10:33]:
So if you’re watching others spin up new things and feeling like maybe you should be doing more too, I really want to offer you this. Sometimes the most strategic move isn’t creating something new, it’s making what you already have even more powerful. For me, that’s what this quarter is all about. So for those that made it this far, I wanted to share what you can steal for your own Q3 plan. So if we were mapping out your quarter three together, which if you’re in the club or mastermind, I probably am here is exactly what I’d have you focus on. I want you to pick one list growth strategy, not 10, just one, I want to ask you, are you over committing to four summits, three bundles and launching a podcast all at once? I want you to take a deep breath. Don’t do that. Instead, pick one strategy that feels light, that feels aligned, that feels doable with the energy you actually have.
Kylie Kelly [00:11:20]:
Maybe like me, it’s guest podcasting four interviews in the next 90 days, right? Maybe it’s saying yes to one curated bundle with the right audience. Maybe it’s doing two to three freebie swaps or inbox collabs to start slow, right? The key is focus. When you pick one and do it with intention, you’re going to grow a more qualified list, not just a bigger1. The second thing I want you to do is decide how you’ll nurture. Most people think nurture means 52 pre written emails or a three part automation. It’s none of that. Your job is to build trust consistently and in your own voice. So choose a rhythm that feels doable and matches your strengths.
Kylie Kelly [00:11:58]:
Perhaps it is one thoughtful weekly email. Maybe it’s a short form private podcast. Maybe it’s a blog post or a podcast roundup once a month, or even just showing up on your existing podcast, but doing it with intention. Make sure going into quarter three that there is a clear way people can hear from you regularly and this is especially important if you’re planning to launch or sell strongly in quarter four. Make sure think nurture, nurture, nurture. How are you going to be intentionally building trust with the audience that you already have? And then number three, I want you to map your revenue streams. Where is your money actually coming from and what are you holding onto out of fear, guilt? Or maybe one day I want you to ask yourself what’s already working, what’s feeling heavy and where is the conversion happening with ease? Maybe this is the quarter you lean into low ticket workshops to build momentum. Or maybe you pause an old offer that hasn’t converted in six months and finally go all in on your membership or signature program.
Kylie Kelly [00:12:55]:
I want you to make it a focus to clean up your offer suite now so that you’re not scrambling mid launch in October. And then number four, I want you to plan your rest. Yes, actually block it out. Q3 tends to feel productive, but burnout can creep up if you don’t pause. So I want to make sure that you block off a three day weekend now, even if it’s to nap and read, put it in the calendar. I would encourage you to take one Friday a month off for CEO catch up days. And if you’re running events, schedule recovery time after them. That’s one of the hardest lessons that I learned after hosting my first summits was that they almost killed me.
Kylie Kelly [00:13:31]:
Schedule recovery time after them and I would even schedule in a massage. More white space equals more clarity every single time. Your business is going to thank you for it. And then lastly, I want you to anchor everything to your big goal. What is your intention in quarter three? Is it visibility? Then focus on list growth and nurture? Is it cash flow? Then get clear on your offer pathway and your pricing. Is it ease and simplicity? Then remove anything that feels like a should and learn to say no. Write down your big goal, put it on your wall, come back to it every week because your plan should serve that goal, not distract you from it. Now, if you’re still here with me, thank you so much for being here.
Kylie Kelly [00:14:11]:
I love pulling back the curtain and showing you how I’m building this thing in real time and I hope it gives you permission to do it your way too. Of course, if you want support planning your quarter or you just want to walk through your next visibility move with someone who gets it, drop me an email.
