My journey from weddings to visibility coaching
When the pandemic hit in 2020, every single one of my weddings was canceled. After more than a decade as a wedding photographer, I was suddenly faced with a choice:
wait it out, or step into something new.
What I realised was that I wasn’t just passionate about capturing love stories – I was passionate about helping women write their own business stories. I’d been experimenting with collaborations and email marketing for years, and I knew I could help other entrepreneurs grow their visibility in a way that felt natural and sustainable.
That’s where my role as a visibility coach was born.
The RISE Framework
At the heart of my work is my RISE Framework – the simple, repeatable system I use with clients who want to grow without burning out:
- Reach: Attract new people using collaborations, podcast guesting, and other high-trust visibility strategies (without the endless scroll).
- Influence: Build real relationships with your audience through nurture sequences, storytelling, and consistent connection.
- Scale: Put systems in place that let you grow your business and your impact without maxing out your capacity.
- Empower: Step into CEO energy – building a business that feels good, honors your values, and gives you the freedom you started all this for.
These four pillars together create not just a business, but a sustainable empire.
Why email beats the algorithm every time
In the feature, I also talked about why email marketing is the most powerful tool we have as entrepreneurs. Social media is great for visibility, but at the end of the day, you don’t own your audience there. Algorithms change. Trends come and go.
But your email list? That’s yours. It’s where real conversations happen. It’s where trust is built. It’s where sales are made.
That’s why so much of what I teach comes back to growing, nurturing, and selling through email – because it works.
What 200+ podcast episodes have taught me
Another big part of our conversation was my podcast, The Email Growth Show. After more than 200 episodes, I’ve learned that consistency doesn’t have to mean burnout. It’s about finding rhythms that work for you, repurposing what you already have, and showing up in ways that feel aligned.
The lesson?
You don’t need to be everywhere.
You just need to be somewhere consistently.
What “Being Bold” means to me in 2025
One of my favorite parts of the feature was sharing what “being bold” looks like for me this year.
For me, bold isn’t about being the loudest in the room. It’s about making intentional choices, owning my voice, and helping other women step into their own version of bold – unapologetically, without waiting for permission.
That’s the energy I’m carrying into every mastermind call, every collaboration, every email I send.
