1. You Don’t Have to Be Loud – Just Consistent

I didn’t start this podcast with a fancy launch plan or a content calendar.

I started it with a message – and a mic.

Some episodes were recorded in the car. Others after bedtime. Many with no idea if anyone would actually care.

But I kept going.

And here’s what I’ve learned:

You don’t need to be the loudest. You just need to show up.

This podcast has brought in coaching clients, mastermind members, summits, collaborations, friendships – but more than that? It’s built trust.

Because when you show up consistently with real value, honesty, and a little fire in your belly… people remember. This is visibility that lasts.

2. Email Is Still My Ride-Or-Die

After working with hundreds of women and writing thousands of emails, I can tell you this with total certainty:

That has nothing to do with dancing on Reels.

It looks like:

• Hosting an audio-only summit that brought in 1,100+ new subscribers and raised thousands for charity
• Saying yes to one podcast interview that led to 100+ new leads
• Building intentional, sustainable relationships through email collabs and freebie swaps

Visibility that works won’t burn you out.

It fuels you.

This is the realest behind the scenes look at what 200 episodes has taught me. We’re talking what I’ve learned about showing up even when I didn’t feel ready, what I know for sure about email and why it’s still my ride to die. Let’s dive in together. So firstly, what I’ve learned From hitting record 200 times now, let’s keep it real. I started this podcast with no real plan, no team, no fancy mic set up. Just a desire to share and connect and speak directly to the women building businesses in the messy the middle. Some episodes were recorded in between school pickups, some after bedtime. A lot of them surrounded by my clothes in my closet. Some while pacing the floor wondering if anyone would actually care. And here is what I’ve learned.

You don’t need to be the loudest voice. You just need to be consistent and true. Podcasting has taught me that impact isn’t always immediate, but it’s always growing. This podcast has brought in coaching clients, collaboration invitations, mastermind members, summit speakers, and so many beautiful relationships. But more than that, it’s actually built trust. Because when you show up over and over and over and over again with value, honesty and a little bit of fire, people remember, this is visibility that lasts. Now, I also want to share what I know for sure about email because I love getting into the inbox. So let’s do it together.

Now, email has always been my favorite place to connect. And after years of testing, learning, teaching and supporting clients, here is what I know for sure. Your list does not need to be big, but it does need to be alive. A small, engaged list will always outperform a cold list of 10,000 subscribers. I also know that email is where connection turns into conversion. Your emails are where people go from interested to invested. And then lastly, the biggest thing that I’ve learned, really in the last year or so is that templates will not build trust, but your voice, it will. The best performing emails that I’ve ever sent, I’ve written them from my heart.

They’ve been messy, they’ve been raw, they’ve been real. Emails let you say things that matter. It’s not about algorithms, it’s about honesty. And it’s still, still the most powerful tool in my business. Now let me share what I know for sure about visibility. That’s email marketing. Let’s talk about actual visibility. This one has been a journey.

I used to think visibility meant more. More content, more platforms, more pressure. Now I know it’s about being memorable. And that has nothing to do with Dancing on Rails. It looks like hosting inside the inbox, an audio only summit that pulled in over 1100 new subscribers in season one, 900 in season two, and raised thousands for charity, both times saying yes, to podcast guesting, the kind that leads to a hundred new leads in a single episode. Freebie swaps, email collaboration, slow relationship building. That’s actually sustainable. I don’t show up everywhere.

Kylie Kelly [00:05:34]:
I show up where it counts and I help my clients do the same. Because visibility that works should not drain you, it should fuel you. Now, circling back to that point there about visibility not meaning more, right? About it doesn’t mean more content, more platforms, more pressure. I actually have dialed back now on the podcast episodes. If you remember, I’ve been doing two per week for the last couple of months. And you know what? I looked at the data, I looked at the numbers, I looked at what you guys are listening to, and one is enough. I. I didn’t have to do more.

Kylie Kelly [00:06:07]:
Doing more didn’t double the downloads. If anything, they were the same as before. So that tells me instead of it being more content, it just needs to be memorable content, right? So I’d love you to ask yourself, what are you doing right now to be visible, to get in front of new audiences, to make a name for yourself, to build your business? Are you leaning into things because you feel like you need to be doing more? Or are you making choices that just make you memorable? That is sustainable, that is giving you energy, Right? Ask yourself those questions because maybe you need to tweak the way you’re showing up as well. Now, what I know for sure about you, here is the part that gets me fired up. If you’re listening to this podcast, you are not average. You’re here because you care. You want to do this differently. You want to build a business that’s built on values, not on vanity.
