THE EMAIL GROWTH SHOW EPISODE 211
If you wait until October to plan Q4, you’re already behind.
And if you try to scale by doing more without a strategy? Hello, burnout.
In this episode, I’m walking you through the 5 core shifts I’m making to grow my business (and my clients’ businesses) without relying on social media – and how you can use Q4 as your launchpad for 2026, not your burnout crash zone.
If you’ve ever rolled into November throwing together a last-minute offer (👋 been there), or if you’re ready for your next quarter to feel profitable and sustainable – this episode is for you.
TL:DR
What you’ll learn in this episode:
– Why Q4 is not the time to wing it – and what to do instead
– How to make visibility moves now that keep bringing leads next year
– The biggest money-making mistake I see in Q4 (and what to do instead)
– Why you don’t need a brand-new offer to hit your revenue goals
– How to reframe existing offers with seasonal positioning that converts
– The “Start with Your Life” planning method that saved my sanity (and my sales)
Here’s how I can help:
→ Book a Business Breakthrough – I’ll review your visibility, offers, and list growth strategy, then give you a personalised action plan to scale smarter in Q4 (without burning out).

5 Shifts I’m Making to Scale Without Social Media in Q4 [Ep 211]
Let’s be real – it’s still Q3. Thinking about Q4 might feel a little extra.
But here’s the truth:
The people who win in Q4 aren’t the ones scrambling in December.
They’re the ones laying the foundations now.
Q4 isn’t just the final sprint – it’s the slingshot for your entire next year.
Your audience is buying, businesses are budgeting, and your future momentum depends on what you do now.
I’ve been that person who rolls into Black Friday with a vague idea and zero lead time.
Yes, I made sales…
But come January? I was back at square one.
Everything changed when I stopped treating Q4 like a scramble and started treating it like the strategic season it is – one that can compound your visibility, sales, and sanity for the next 12 months.
Here’s exactly how I’m approaching this season differently and how you can too:
If your list resets to zero every Monday, you’re on the hustle hamster wheel.
Instead of posting constantly, I’m focusing on compound visibility:
This kind of visibility brings leads now and later. One of my private clients booked 3 podcast interviews in October. Two brought in leads immediately, and the third? It aired in January and brought in $12K in sales. Without her lifting a finger.
💬 Ask yourself: Where can I show up in Q4 that brings me leads in Q1?
Q4 isn’t the time to build something new from scratch, it’s the time to squeeze the juice out of what’s already working.
Instead of launching a new offer, I’m tweaking existing ones:
Last year, I helped a client reframe her group program as a “2025 Growth Jumpstart.”
Same content, no new delivery…
Result? $18K in sales in 10 days before Christmas.
Yes please.
Let’s be honest: Q4 is full.
Family. Holidays. School breaks. Events.
So my planning starts with life.
I block out rest, recovery, and capacity first – then build business around that.
This keeps me grounded, resourced, and out of the “Yes” trap I fell into years ago (you know… saying yes to everything out of fear I’d miss the opportunity).
Your audience needs lead time.
If you launch a Black Friday deal with zero pre-launch or warm-up content, don’t be surprised if results are… meh.
So I’m building runway into everything:
Whether it’s a live promo or evergreen funnel – prepping your audience is what drives conversions.
This isn’t about chasing Q4 revenue.
This is about rolling into January in momentum mode, not dragging yourself across the finish line.
Your Q4 plan should feel like a decision, not a reaction.
That’s exactly what we’ll do together inside my free 2-day workshop:
The Empire Expansion Event ✨
You’ll:
It’s live. It’s actionable. It’s not fluff.
And it will save you from the chaos spiral I used to live in every single year.

Kylie Kelly [00:00:00]:
I get it. Planning for Q4 while it’s still Q3 feels a little extra. But after over a decade in business, here is what I know. The people who win in Q4 aren’t the ones scrambling in December. They’re the ones who start laying the bricks now. So today I’m walking you through why Q4 matters more than any other quarter and how you can build a plan that not only looks sexy on paper, but actually makes you money without hijacking your life or frying your nervous system.
Kylie Kelly [00:00:28]:
Are you a female business owner frustrated with battling the outcome algorithm and looking for growth strategies that don’t involve awkwardly pointing or dancing online or throwing cash at paid ads?
Kylie Kelly [00:00:39]:
Welcome to the Email Growth Show.
Kylie Kelly [00:00:40]:
I’m your host, Kylie Kelly, visibility and email marketing strategist. I grew my email list from zero to almost 10,000 subscribers in less than two years, and the same is possible for you too.
Kylie Kelly [00:00:51]:
Are you ready to build your email list and start making more money in your online business? Let’s head into today’s episode.
Kylie Kelly [00:01:00]:
Hey hey. Welcome back to the Email Growth show episode 211. Today I want to talk about the five shifts I’m making to scale without social media in Q4 and I want to give you some really tangible steps how you can too. Now I know that this might seem premature, right? We’re still in August. But what I do know is if you roll into October Without a clear Q4 plan, you’re basically RSVPing to a burnout party with a side of last minute panic and meh results. And honestly, I am old for the wing it life. And yes, this is exactly what I’m walking six figure women through at my free two day Empire expansion event next month. You can find the link to sign up in the show notes or just go to Kylie Kelly.com event.
Kylie Kelly [00:01:44]:
But today you’re getting the core shifts so you can start mapping it out right freaking now. So firstly, why does Q4 matter more than you think? Q4 isn’t just the last quarter of the year. It is the launch pad for your next 12 months. It’s when your audience is both buying and planning, businesses are locking in their budgets and people are actively hunting for solutions they want in place before the 1st of January. My wake up call. In my early years, I’d limp into November thinking I’ll just throw something together for a quick cash bump. This is especially true when it comes to Black Friday. I’ll just throw something out there and get some cash in.
Kylie Kelly [00:02:19]:
And sure, I’d make a few Sales. But come January, I was Back to square one. The shift happened when I started treating Q4 like a slingshot. One October, I ran a workshop that not only sold out, but laid the exact groundwork for my biggest January launch ever. The momentum carried straight through the holiday chaos. Now I know that this is a double edged sword because the truth about Q4 is that it’s also the most distracting time of the year, right? There’s family stuff, holiday promos, shiny new launches. It is a lot, especially in the online space. So if you don’t anchor yourself with a plan now, you’re going to end up reacting instead of leading yourself through it.
Kylie Kelly [00:02:57]:
So I want to give you a little bit of a reflection prompt right now, if you can. If you’re not driving, press pause on the podcast. And I want you to think about this. If you could only focus on three things in Q4 that would massively impact your 2026, what would they be? Just three things. Write them down and keep them in sight. Now let’s talk about the non negotiables in your Q4 plan. If your audience growth resets to zero every Monday, you are on the hustle hamster wheel. We are not doing that anymore.
Kylie Kelly [00:03:29]:
Instead, your invisibility moves that stack things like collaborative bundles, guest podcasting, partner workshops, things that take you off the social media hamster wheel. Now, because I wanted to throw in a bunch of examples into this episode, I wanted to share with you that a past private client of mine booked three podcast guest spots in October last year. Now this is what I mean by stacking. Two of those episodes went live in Q4, bringing in a steady trickle of new leads. She had a beautiful opt in as the only call to action at the end of every interview brought in some beautiful new leads to her world. The third though, dropped in January. It pulled in at $12,000 in sales and she didn’t lift a finger. That’s the power compounding visibility using strategies like these that stack over time.
Kylie Kelly [00:04:12]:
So ask yourself, where can you show up in Q4 that’s gonna actually send you leads in Q1 of next year? Powerful question to reflect on. Now I wanted to chat a little bit around the biggest Q4 trap because I see it time and time again and it’s clients that think they need to whip up something brand new to make money. I used to be this client myself, right? I used to really dig into that many gen energy that I have, dream up something new and exciting and just wanna launch new things all the time. That is fine. When you have the energy when you have the capacity for it, but you do not have to do it all the time. Especially in the last quarter of the year, when, let’s be honest, if it’s been a big year, you might be a little exhausted. Right? We want things to be easier. So this is the time to squeeze the juice out of what’s already working.
Kylie Kelly [00:04:57]:
I want you to think about playing with how can you tweak your pricing? How can you add high value bonuses? Is there some kind of seasonal positioning that you can shift your offer to? And when I talk about seasonal positioning, I think this example will show you the case in point. Really well. But at the end of last year, I helped a client reframe her existing group program as a 2025 growth jumpstart. There was no new content, there was no extra delivery, but she closed $18,000 in 10 days right before Christmas. Why? Because it hit exactly what her audience wanted at that moment. They wanted a head start on the year that was incoming fast. All we did was shift that seasonal positioning. So think to how can you do that with your offer? How can you shift the positioning? How can you tweak the price? How can you add like a high value bonus if they sign up in Q4 for next year? Right.
Kylie Kelly [00:05:48]:
Think about ways you can inject revenue and money into your business that don’t require more of you, that don’t require you to create a new sales page, to create a new offer, but they can still drive revenue. Now, of course, Q4 is a season of the S, right? And again, trust me, we’ll chew you up and spit you out if you let it. A few years ago, I said yes to everything. I was literally, if you’ve seen that movie, yes, man, I was that guy. I was saying yes to everything because I had a fear of saying no to the right thing, of that big opportunity coming. And me actually not saying yes to it could impact everything. It was not the case. By January of the following year, I was so fried, I had to take an unplanned two week break right when I was supposed to be launching.
Kylie Kelly [00:06:31]:
So now my Q4 calendar starts with my life, my family, my rest, my capacity, and then I build the business priorities around that. Seriously, this is the order in which I plan all of my time now. And I would really encourage you to think about how you could build boundaries around your energy and plan your family, your rest, your capacity before you start planning your business priorities. Now, as we start to close out this episode, I wanted to talk a little Bit about where people go wrong in Q4 because I see it way too often. There’s three things that I wanted to point out. Often it’s last minute offers with no lead time to sell. People do this very much for Black Friday. Hell, I’ve done it for Black Friday.
Kylie Kelly [00:07:10]:
But often it only leads to pretty average or even disappointing results. Remember, your audience needs to know about the offer before they’re ready to buy it. You need to have a Runway, you need to have a pre launch. You need to actually set the stage before you go announcing the big thing, right, the big sale. So make sure, even if it does feel like it’s a little bit last minute for you, make sure you’re still setting aside to send at least a couple emails. At least do something to set that stage so that you get the results that you deserve, right? So that your audience is aware of what’s coming so they can be prepped and primed and ready to go. So no last minute offers with no lead time to sell around here. The other thing that I see all the time is people chasing trends instead of doubling down on what’s already proven.
Kylie Kelly [00:07:51]:
And look, I get it. Trends can be fun and exciting and you want to try it out and you want to play and have fun. I’m not saying to stop that energy, I love the energy of play in my business. But instead of just doing that, let’s look at what’s working too. Let’s take the emotion out, let’s look at the data and let’s actually focus on what’s already proven in your business. And the last thing that I wanted to mention was that they let Q4 just happen instead of actually being in control of it, instead of actually steering it in a direction and thinking about in a way that it can actually set them up for the following year to come. Remember, your Q4 plan needs to feel like a decision, not a reaction. So how do you build yours and what we are going to do together? So as I said, next month, over two days, I am hosting a free Empire expansion event.
Kylie Kelly [00:08:34]:
I’m so excited about it. So over two days, we’re going to map out your 12 month growth plan, starting with your most profitable Q4 yet. We’re going to pinpoint your highest ROI visibility moves for the next 90 days and we’re going to refine your messaging so your offers basically sell themselves. This is not a sit back and listen thing. This is an implementation workshop where we’re actually going to get work done and you will leave with your plan. Finished. I honestly wish I’d had this back when I was in the spaghetti at the Walmart. It would have saved me so much time, so much money and so much what am I even doing? Stress.
Kylie Kelly [00:09:06]:
The link is in the show. Notes to go and check it out. Or as I said you can head to Kylie Kelly.com forward/event and grab a free guest pass there. So my loves, your Q4 plan isn’t just about the next three months. If there’s one thing that I want you to get from this episode, it’s that your Q4 plan is about rolling into January already in momentum mode, not crawling out of burnout. We’ve all been there and I do not want that for you at the start of 2026. I want you to decide your focus now, protect your energy, make some moves that compound and watch how smoother your growth is able to feel. I hope you found this helpful.
Kylie Kelly [00:09:42]:
I hope this has got you thinking a little bit more strategically about what Q4 might look like. If you have any questions I as always, please don’t hesitate to email me helloylie kelly.com but for now, that is me for this week. Next week we actually have an incredible guest interview with Chris Jones. She’ll be talking all about how to replace all of your marketing with a single story. It is a incredible interview.
